Patterson Electronics was formed in the late 1960's as a message handling service with users having the option of renting a two way radio to facilitate checking for messages. From this beginning the company has grown to become a one-stop mobile communications supplier covering the whole of the Island of Ireland.

As well as the sale and service of Motorola and HYT two-way radio and the operation of wide-area radio systems throughout Northern Ireland, the company also has over 1000 current model Motorola walkie-talkies for short and long term rental.
